Delete your Install-1 account

This page is the public way to delete an Install-1 account. You do not need the app, and you do not need to be signed in to ask us to delete it.

Delete in the app

Open the Install-1 app and go to your account settings, then choose Delete account. On the website, installers and print shops use the same control under Account, then Security. Confirm the prompt. Personal data is removed when that request succeeds, and you are signed out.

No app and not signed in

Send a request with the email on the account. Support confirms that you control that email before the account is deleted. Submitting this form does not delete anything.

What is deleted and what is kept

Deletion removes personal data from active databases. The account row stays so financial records still have an owner, but it is anonymized: the name becomes "Deleted user", the email is replaced so you can register again with the same address, and the phone number, password, and Google or Apple sign-in are cleared. Existing website and app sessions stop working immediately.

Removed

  • Profile photo, bio, address, precise location, contact details, and public profile link
  • Portfolio, certification documents, and other uploaded files
  • Notifications, push tokens, saved addresses, and saved payment methods
  • The link from Install-1 to your Stripe customer and connected payout account. Saved cards are detached and an Install-1 subscription is cancelled. Install-1 does not delete Stripe's own record of that connected account
  • Message text you sent is replaced with "[deleted]". The conversation stays so the other person still has the thread
  • Street address on unpaid cancelled or draft jobs you posted

Kept

  • Payout, payment, and other financial and transaction records may be retained for up to seven (7) years as required by applicable tax and accounting law
  • Information needed to resolve disputes, enforce agreements, or comply with legal obligations may be retained for longer periods. Dispute rows are not deleted
  • Review scores stay so the other party's rating history does not change. Admin audit logs and the record that you accepted the terms are kept as required by law
  • Jobs that already have a payment or payout stay, including the job itself. Paid work is not erased
  • Aggregated or de-identified data that cannot reasonably identify you may be retained indefinitely

Deletion is blocked while a job is active

The app and the signed-in delete button refuse the request while you still have an active job. Finish, cancel, or wait until the job is paid, then try again. The request form on this page can still be submitted; support will not delete the account until those jobs are no longer active.

  • Installers: Claimed (CLAIMED), In Progress (IN_PROGRESS), Completed (COMPLETED), Approved (APPROVED), Disputed (DISPUTED)
  • Print shops: Open (POSTED), Claimed (CLAIMED), In Progress (IN_PROGRESS), Completed (COMPLETED), Approved (APPROVED), Disputed (DISPUTED)

Draft, cancelled, and paid jobs do not block deletion.
